Wishin' I had something to sell! Live about 25 miles from Kalona- last week prices 40-57# $245-270!; 113-148# $188-195; 80-104# $192-212.50. Ewes went for $62.50-81.00. Hope those prices last to when I have some lambs to sell in the fall.

I will say what I believe in front 1 person, or a million.. My thoughts are MINE ONLY, and no one can take them away, but they sure can try to persuade me otherwise. Bring facts in, and I might sway my thoughts!

Had lunch in Kalona a few weeks back. We ' left coasters' enjoyed the daughter's tour through the countryside. Stopped at a couple of Amish grocery stores and got to visit with a couple of the local farmers and view their horses. Also visited an interesting wood working shop with a retail outlet.

I bet they were rebounding from the previous weeks soft market (probably due to the heat?)
