New lamb broken tail?

We had two new lambs yesterday, a boy and a girl. If you remember, I'm a total novice. We got our first little flock in May, and had our very first lamb last week. Everything has been smooth so far.

One of the lambs born yesterday appears to have a spot in its tail where it looks almost broken...it appears normal for about three inches, and then it looks like it just has a kink in it, and then hangs down all floppy from there. Any experience with this? These are hair sheep and we don't dock. Should I have a vet look at it?

Mom could have stepped on the tail. Having looked at tails on thousands of Dorper sired lambs over the past 15 years, tail kinks are not uncommon. It seems to be a genetic trait from one of their African ancestral breeds.
