JJ and the lamb

Postby Janet McNally » Fri Jun 11, 2010 11:39 pm

Just wanted to share this photo of JJ and a birthing ewe. JJ is one year of age. He did get into a little trouble this winter, was incarcerated for a spell, and then tossed in with lambing ewes. I did the same with his sister, Nita and she is equally good, just a bit shy of the camera.

Janet -

What a comforting sight and a good looking dog! Does he clean up the placenta for you?

You advised me last year to give a pair of 3 yr. olds a try when they were losing their job in ND. I couldn't be happier with how they've worked out. Well, all except for the fact the female won't let any of my dogs near the sheep except one of the BC's. :?

Barb, after 250 placentas, JJ is rather weary of them. But he still is drawn to the process to supervise.
